Santa Comes to Floripa!

This Sunday Santa comes to Floripa!  The holiday celebration begins with  a parade on the Beira Mar at 5:30 p.m that will set off toward Floripa shopping at 6:30 p.m.  Meanwhile, mass will be held in front of Floripa shopping at 5:30 p.m. with a concert by Educandário Emaculada da Conceição.  Santa and his parade of revelers will join the Christmas event at the end of the mass.

Rhythm of the Seasons: A Night of Japanese Percussion

Tonight at 9:00 p.m. the TAC (Teatro Alvaro de Carvalho) presents Rhythm of the Seasons: A Night of Japanese Percussion sponsored by the Nipo-Catarinense Association. The concert features taikôs (japanese drums), dance and traditional Japanese song with the group Shimadaiko and invited guests. The concert celebrates the 26º anniversary of the group and is the third annual presentation of the Japanese Culture Night.
